Mommy is NOT impressed, and I don't understand. She has started to put me in my pajamas for my nap, with them on backwards so I can't take them off. |
| March 19, 2007 | My grammar continues to improve. I said "he" to refer to Daddy. I said "we" to refer to all of us in the car. I am learning to use "no" and "not" appropriately. My drawing is improving too. I can now draw a crude circle, in any color you ask me to! |
| February 21, 2007 | I'm using lots more pronouns. Today I said "I want..." for everything that I wanted at lunch. |
| January 29, 2007 | I decided to play with all of the eggs in the refrigerator. I threw most of them on the floor and it was really cool. I can't figure out why Mommy is not happy about this. |
| January 25, 2007 | I prayed out loud for our dinner tonight. Mommy said, "Let's pray" and I started praying. I said, "Dear God, Thank you. Food. Jesus. Amen." Mommy and Daddy were so thrilled. |
| January 7, 2007 | I said a five word sentence today! I am starting to use pronouns - "tickle me" is a favorite phrase. I also referred to something of Sahara's as "hers". |
| December 28, 2006 | I am using my imagination a lot more when I play with toys. I continue to speak in longer sentences. I'm learning prepositions and how to describe locations of objects. |

| August 1, 2006 | I recognize at least half of the letters in the alphabet, maybe more. I also know the following colors: green, blue, purple, red, and yellow. I know a lot of shapes too: triangle, circle, square, oval, and heart. I'm still working on rectangle and diamond. I also know lots of animal sounds: dog, cat, cow, owl, and tiger. |

| December 15, 2005 | I added another state today - Hawaii! I have now been in Utah, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nevada, California, and Hawaii for a total of 8 states. Mommy and Daddy were also in Hawaii for the first time, which was state number 47 for mommy (she has not been in Louisiana, Alabama, or Mississippi). |
| December 4, 2005 | I am 14 months old! Today I made the baby sign for "fan" while at a restaurant with mommy & daddy. There were lots of ceiling fans, and I love to look at them. |
| November 23, 2005 | Grandma Mary taught me to say "uh-oh" when I drop something. That's my fourth word! |

| October 29, 2005 | My first Halloween party! I have been drinking out of sippy cups all week with the exception of one bottle on the 23rd. |

| October 19, 2005 | I said my 2nd and 3rd words today: "baby" and "dada". I met two very little babies today (ages 10 days and 2 months) and said "baby" several times. When Daddy came home, I saw him and said "dada". Daddy was VERY impressed! |
| October 12, 2005 | I learned to drink from a straw today when we went out to celebrate Daddy's birthday. Mommy and Daddy were duly impressed. I am doing much better with my sippy cup, too. I regularly drink my milk (yes, whole milk - I'm up to 1/4 formula, 3/4 milk) from the cup at 1-2 meals, and take the bottle for the other 2-3. |
| October 10, 2005 | I had my 1-year doctor appointment today. I weigh 20 lb 11 oz, I'm 30 inches long, and my head circumference is 47 cm. |
| October 5, 2005 | I said "doggie" for sure today - lots of times, while looking at the dogs and trying to entice them to come and share my dinner with me. "Doggie" is officially my first word! |
| October 4, 2005 | I am 1 year old! I am now eating lots of soft table foods, including fruits, vegetables (peas & carrots are my favorites), goldfish crackers, saltines, graham crackers, pasta of all kinds (mmmm...spaghettios), etc. I can drink my bottle very well all by myself, from start to finish. I am standing unassisted for longer periods of time. |

| September 11, 2005 | I climbed the whole flight of stairs in our house all by myself. These are no ordinary stairs, either. They are narrow and very challenging. I also climbed all of the stairs at church today, too. |
| September 4, 2005 | I am 11 months old! I now say "mama" a lot, but mommy & daddy aren't convinced I know what it means. I ate my first graham cracker today. |
| August 23, 2005 | I can clap my hands! I'm imitating EVERYTHING now, so mommy and daddy had better be careful! |
| August 12, 2005 | I had my first ER visit today. I lost my first baby tooth... only a couple months after it came in. I'm really cute without it though! |
| August 9, 2005 | I'm now really good at "cruising" the furniture. I can get around pretty well while standing, though I still prefer to crawl most of the time. I am crawling really fast now. |

I learned to open cabinets and drawers, and I figured out how to take silverware out of the dishwasher. Mommy didn't seem very pleased with all of my new skills, and I'm not sure why! |
