Date: What I Did: December, 2008 I walked 1.5 miles to the post office and back with mommy, in the snow.  I got tired and screamy at the end, but I did pretty well all things considered. August 18, 2008 I'm quite taken with the BIG rocks in Big Cottonwood Canyon. August 5, 2008 I had a one hour tantrum today.  Yay.  Mommy and Daddy were SO thrilled. August, 2008 I say everything with an initial "H" instead of consonants.  My name is "Hell", and Calvin is "Hannon".  Funny is "Hunny".  July, 2008 I LOVE Slurpees.  Every time I see a 7-11 I say "urpee" and I get so excited. July, 2008 I rode the big girl swing at the park for the first time :). May 6, 2008 I woke up with my legs stuck between the bars of my crib and I started screaming.  Mommy wasn't too thrilled with the 5am wake-up call. May, 2008 I'm starting to get quite a temper and pitch screaming-lying-on-the-floor fits when I don't get what I want. April, 2008 My comprehension is much improved.  Mommy can ask me to put something in the trash, and I will go do it.  April, 2008 I'm still saying lots and lots of new words.  I ask for my "nini" (binky) all the time, but mommy only gives it to me at naptime and bedtime.  I am repeating everything other people say, so watch out! March 30, 2008 I am saying so many new words now that mommy cannot keep up with them!  I weigh about 28.5 lbs now, and I can really RUN when I want to. March 7, 2008 First 2-word sentence "Mommy, MINE!!!" said to mommy when she gave the scarf back to the Kindermusik teacher.  I still wanted it!!! March 7, 2008 New words lately:  "broccoli" (yup, really!), "binky" (comes out "nini") February 13, 2008 Recent new baby signs:  "duck", "frog", "elephant" February 13, 2008 Recent new words:  "up", "mine" (oh boy, here we go...), "yeah", "more", "socks" December 6, 2007 I think all of the animals at the zoo are doggies.  I kept making the baby sign for doggie every time we looked at a different animal.  November 30, 2007 I said "shoes".  I love playing with my shoes! November 10, 2007 I said "uh-oh" when I dropped my spoon on the floor.  I got really into my new word and said it a lot of times today. November 4, 2007 I looked at pictures on the wall and pointed at the people.  I seemed to like it a lot when Mommy and Daddy told me who the people were. October 27, 2007 I am starting to use a spoon and a fork.  I can actually get some food into my mouth with them. October 2007 I am "talking" a lot now, vocalizing many "words", but no one knows what I am saying. September 25, 2007 I walk everywhere now.  I know how to open the kitchen garbage can (Mommy is not happy about this).  I have also figured out how to put the coins into my play piggy bank.  August 29, 2007 I crawled all the way up the stairs all by myself.  I am walking preferentially now, though I still crawl sometimes. August 25, 2007 My first molars are in on the bottom and are coming in on the top, for a total of 12 teeth now.  Only 8 more to go! August 18, 2007 We went to Bear River Camp, and now I am walking a LOT more - probably about half the time I choose to walk rather than crawl. August 17, 2007 I was in a new state today - Wyoming!  That makes 7 states:  Utah, California, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho and Arizona are the other 6. August 4, 2007 I took about 10 steps in a row in our Motel 6 in Boise, Idaho.  Mommy and Daddy are finally convinced that I'm really walking now.  I still prefer to crawl, but I am walking a lot now. August 4, 2007 I was in another new state today:  Idaho, my 6th state. July 31, 2007 I said "duck" while watching Calvin and my cousin Sierra feeding the baby ducks at the Trout House in Sunriver, Oregon. July 30, 2007 I took lots of steps in between furniture and showed off my great skills for Grandma and Grandpa Wright. July 29, 2007 I entered a new state today - my 5th state - Oregon. July 28, 2007 I took THREE steps in Grandma Mary's kitchen.  Everyone was most impressed. July 23, 2007 I said "Stella" when my playmate Stella said bye-bye to me. July 15, 2007 I took a step in between pieces of furniture!  I did this several times.  I'm not really walking yet, though. July 12, 2007 I had my one year doctor visit today.  I weighed 20 lb 15 oz, was 29.5 inches long (both about 50th percentile), and my head circumference, at 47.5 cm, was off the chart! July 1, 2007 I have eight teeth now. June 27, 2007 I said the word "doggie" today, and mommy and grandma both got to hear me say it.  June 23, 2007 I am one year old today! June 20, 2007 I said "bamama" for banana - this was the 2nd time, so mommy thinks maybe this is really my first word, especially since I was looking at the banana mommy was holding out in front of me. June 18, 2007 I have seven teeth now! June 12, 2007 I made the baby sign for "doggie". May 28, 2007 I am pulling up to standing very well now.  I can stand up holding on to things for quite a while. May 27, 2007 I said "mama mama mama".  Mommy doesn't think it's specific yet, but at least I am making the sound.  May 8, 2007 I did my first baby sign!  I made the sign for "more" to get more Cheerios.  Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me! April 28, 2007 I was in 2 new states:  Arizona and Nevada.  My total is 4 states now - Utah, California, Arizona and Nevada. April 25, 2007 I'm crawling everywhere and getting into everything, and it's a lot of fun! April 23, 2007 I'm 10 months old! April 22, 2007 I crawled forward a couple of feet!!! April 11, 2007 My top two teeth are coming in! April 8, 2007 My first Easter.  I am rolling EVERYWHERE, and crawling backwards better now.  Still not crawling forwards.  I am babbling a lot.  I can say "ba ba ba" and "mmmm" and "ma". March 19, 2007 I am trying to crawl, but I'm mostly just moving backwards.  I can only get about a foot or two, though. March 1, 2007 I can hold my own bottle if I'm lying on my back, and I drink it all by myself. February 14, 2007 I definitely have 2 teeth on the bottom now! February 6, 2007 Daddy noticed that my first tooth is coming in!  It's my bottom right incisor.  I'm not extra fussy or anything, which makes mommy and daddy very happy. January 29, 2007 I outgrew my infant car seat, so mommy put me in a bigger one. January 24, 2007 I started sleeping in my own room tonight.  I have been sleeping through the night for several weeks now, and so mommy and daddy decided that I was ready to have my own room. January 10, 2007 I sat up all by myself for several minutes before falling over.  I'm doing really well at sitting.  I still fall, but I am getting my balance and can play with toys while I sit. January 9, 2007 I'm pretty darn good at putting my binky in my mouth when I want it! January 8, 2007 I am able to sit up for about 15-30 seconds now (sometimes longer) before I fall over sideways or backward or frontward. January 5, 2007 I blew raspberries at mommy today for the first time. December 28, 2006 I had my 6 month doctor visit today.  I got three shots and cried a lot.  I weigh 15 lb 2 oz, I am 25.5 inches long, and my head circumference is 44.5 cm. December 26, 2006 I had my first solid food today (rice cereal) and I liked it! December 23, 2006 I am six months old. December 12, 2006 I sat in the "tripod" position for a few seconds all by myself.  I am working on my sitting balance. November 28, 2006 I transferred a toy from one hand to the other. November 23, 2006 I am five months old!  I like to laugh a lot when mommy and daddy tickle me or laugh.  I am a very smiley baby, and I'm usually very content.  I still wake once during the night to eat. November 7, 2006 I played with a toy, putting it in my mouth and turning it around. October 27, 2006 I flew on the plane for the first time and did just fine (I even took a nap!).  I was in a new state, California, for the first time. October 23, 2006 I had my 4 month doctor appointment today.  I weighed 12 lb 12 oz (between 25th and 50th percentile) and I am 23.5 inches long (25th percentile).  I got 4 shots, and had no reactions (maybe just a bit more sleepy than usual). October 16, 2006 I rolled over from my tummy to my back. October 13, 2006 I stood up with all my weight on my legs (mommy helped me to balance). October 2, 2006 I am wearing size 2 diapers now. September 23, 2006 I am three months old! September 20, 2006 I laughed at mommy and daddy :)! September 18, 2006 I reached for a toy! August 29, 2006 I had my 2 month doctor appointment today.  I weighed 10 lb 1 oz (almost 50th percentile!) and I am 22 inches long (between 25th and 50th percentile).  August 23, 2006 I am two months old! August 20, 2006 I am cooing and making cute noises. August 14, 2006 I am usually only waking once during the night to eat now.  Mommy is very happy to be sleeping more. August 11, 2006 Mommy and Daddy decided that I am definitely losing my baby hair. August 8, 2006 I smiled at mommy today for the first time.  Last night, I smiled at daddy. August 4, 2006 I am 6 weeks old.  I weigh 8 lb 12 oz (3980g), am 21.5 inches long, and my head circumference is 37.5 cm. August 1, 2006 This week I started wearing size 1 diapers! July 23, 2006 I am one month old today! July 13, 2006 I am almost 3 weeks old.  I weigh 7 lb 3 oz (3280g), and I had my 2nd appt with Dr. Swoboda today. July 6, 2006 I am almost 2 weeks old.  I weigh 6 lb 13 oz (3100g) and I am 20 inches long.  I had my first appointment with Dr. Swoboda today. July 5, 2006 My umbilical cord fell off. July 4, 2006 I CAME HOME TODAY!!! July 1, 2006 My due date. June 28, 2006 I breastfed for the first time since being in the NICU and also had my first bottle. June 27, 2006 I got off the CPAP and mommy and daddy were able to hold me, which they hadn't been able to do since June 23rd. June 24, 2006 I landed in the NICU for breathing problems, most likely due to pneumonia. June 23, 2006 Scheduled C-section date.  I was born at 8:02 am weighing 6 lb 11 oz and 19 inches long.  April 1, 2006 3rd trimester begins. February 27, 2006 Daddy saw me on ultrasound, too. February 24, 2006 Daddy felt me kick for the first time. January 30, 2006 Mommy saw me on ultrasound for the first time and found out that I'm a girl. January 28, 2006 Mommy felt me kick for the first time. January 5, 2006 Mommy and Daddy heard my heartbeat for the first time. December 24, 2005 2nd trimester begins. November 15, 2005 Mommy found out she was pregnant.
